Custom Rugs

We recognize that it is often difficult to find a rug in just the right size, color, and pattern.  That’s why 1000s of Rugs is so excited to now offer Tibetan Custom Rugs, hand knotted by Tibetans Refugees in our dedicated weaving center in Nepal.  These rugs are all individually made and customized for each order at no additional charge!

• 122 unique nature inspired designs
• Produced in any color combination - you can choose from our 1,200 color wool samples, or we can match your fabric or color swatches at no charge.
• We can produce any size or shape. Only very irregular shapes or oversize rugs (larger than 10’ x 14’) carry an incremental charge.
• Produced in any knot count from 60 knots per square inch all the way up to 200 knots per square inch (silk only).
• 2-3 month delivery for most rugs - an amazing achievement considering the labor that goes into a hand knotted rug!
• Produced with plush 5 mil pile – 25% more wool and/or silk than most commercial quality Tibetan rugs which are made with a 4 mil pile.
• Made with the finest wool and silk available in the world today – our wool is long fiber virgin wool from Tibetan sheep that is hand carded and hand spun. Our silk is 100% natural Grade A silk from China.
• If you don’t see a design you like amongst the 122 designs we have, our graphic designers can also produce a unique design to your specifications or to match your art or fabric swatch. In many cases, there is no incremental cost for this design work, call for more details.
• All of our facilities are FREE OF CHILD LABOR – with a strong commitment to social responsibility, we are a full member of Care and Fair, an organization dedicated to helping educate the children of rug-knotting families.

Feel free to give us a call and we’ll be happy to discuss any aspects of our Custom Rugs.  We can send you yarn samples to ensure a perfect match, and we can produce a 1’ x 1’ “strike-off” (sample) so you can see an actual piece of the finished rug before deciding.  There is generally a nominal fee for the strike-off that is refundable with a rug order.

• Wool 70 Knots - $52.50 per Sq. Ft.
• Wool 100 Knots - $65.00 per Sq Ft.
• 100% Silk 200 Knots - $190.00 per Sq. Ft.
• Wool and Silk 100 or 150 Knots - Call for price
